Adult and Teen Fitness Classes taught by Molly Susee
Mix it up:
Mix it Up is a combination of cardio and strength as well as flexibility. In this class, we will use a variety of formats to get a fun, efficient workout. Formats include H.I.I.T, barre, pilates, sculpt, step, kickboxing, and yoga. Classes will be different each week and use different modalities to offer variety and challenge. You should bring a mat, water, and a towel to each class. If we use weights and you have some at home it’s always nice to have your own equipment. Classes are held in the gymnastics gym so we will have bare feet. Please let me know if you have special circumstances and we will discuss having clean shoes in the gym. 

 
Teen Fit:
Teen fit is similar to Mix it Up but more mindful of the teenage population. Similarly, we will have cardio, strength and flexibility, however, we will take more time to focus on form and injury prevention. Teen fit will have a more relaxed atmosphere and have a segment-specific to flexibility. The class is geared towards students 6th grade and up who are excited to come and work out in a group setting. Please bring a mat, water and a towel and dress ready to workout. Class will be bare feet.
 
Yoga for flowing strength: 
This class will take a progressive format setting up postures and then flowing one breath to one pose. We will begin each class by centering ourselves and engaging in light stretching before we move into deeper flows and strength. Class will end with balance work and a traditional savasana. You do not need to be familiar with yoga terminology to come to class, but it doesn’t hurt to be familiar with basic poses. Yoga is a great practice for fitness and flexibility as well as mental health. Yoga opens our energy pathways and allows us to feel centered and grounded, a great way to prepare for the weekend! Please bring a mat, water bottle and towel.

The studio is set up for participants to be a minimum of 6 feet away from each other

About  Molly Susee
Hi! My name is Molly Susee. I coach gymnastics here at Bodies in Motion. In addition to being a gymnastics coach, I have been a certified group fitness instructor since 2018 and more recently a certified yoga instructor. I predominantly teach in Shakopee where I am married, have 3 kids and 2 dogs. I love teaching fitness classes that improve real people’s lifestyles. Most of us are not training to be olympic athletes, we just want to feel strong and confident in our bodies. Fitness should be about empowerment rather than punishment. The best classes are those that are fun, social, challenging and efficient. We need to feel challenged to change but we don’t need to embrace the no pain no gain attitude to make significant physical gains. I’m excited at the opportunity to bring my style of fitness to Bodies in Motion. We have a great facility that is able to adapt to the challenges of the recent year. I hope to see you at the gym!
